  • Cross the street at corners, using traffic signals and crosswalks.
  • Look left, right and left again when crossing and keep looking as you cross.

Since the holidays will be here before we know it, it is never too late to start searching (or blogging) about the best lights show around us here in Orange County and creating new lifetime memories. Here's a new display for this year: Dana Point's Illuminocean.

The Dana Point Harbor will be transformed into an awe-inspiring holiday wonderland: IlluminOcean. This ocean-themed lighting attraction will stretch for more than one mile and will feature giant sea sculptures and moving illuminated tunnels. From octopus and sharks, to starfish and surfers, the dazzling displays are highlighted by a towering glow-motion tree, light tunnels stretching longer than a football field and over a dozen gigantic lighting sculptures —some so large, visitors can walk

With Halloween coming up pretty quickly, here's reminder on some of our favorite Dana Point's Halloween events for this year 2014.

First, don’t miss out on Doheny’s Halloween Haunt! Bring your family and friends to celebrate Halloween in a fun and safe environment with good ole fashioned spookiness, arts and crafts, a fun zone, and an array of educational booths. The event runs from 6:30-8:30 pm and meets at picnic sites A and B. There is no charge for admission; however, a donation of one non-perishable per person is greatly appreciated. Don’t’ forget to dress up those little ones!
