Summer is coming up quickly and if you are, like many other parents, looking for Jr Lifeguards programs for your kids, there's several options and we thought to get them al together here.  Camps range from 8 (or 9) until 14-17 yrs old. They all require a swim test that is more or less the same: swim 100 yard under 2 minutes (some give more time to the campers), thread water for 5 min, and swim underwater for 10 yards and the duration varies from 2 weeks to 5 weeks, half days or full days.

Looking for a fun activity for this Earth's Day - Saturday April 21st? The City of San Clemente and the Watershed Task Force will be co-hosting the 16th annual Earth Day Festival, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at Parque Del Mar in the Pier Bowl near the San Clemente Pier.

Start with a morning beach clean up (8am). Supplies will be provided to all participants who want to walk the beach and collect trash and debris. Then come to the Parque del Mar - just above the Pier, and enjoy a free-to-the-public festival that will feature live music, educational displays, environmental vendors, and artists.
