In celebration of California’s rich maritime history, the Ocean Institute annually hosts a fleet of historic tall ships that sail into Dana Point Harbor.  This extraordinary event takes place each year the second weekend in September.  History comes alive, as crews from each ship, along with historical re-enactors, engage the public in cannon battles, pirate adventures, mermaid encounters , ship tours, and much more.

Returning for a second year, the 'Market at North Beach' is coming back on Wednesday May 9th, and then weekly on Wednesdays from 4 to 8pm.

  Enjoy seasonal organic fruits and veggies, flowers, baked bread, and often the fresh-catch of the day. New this year will be freshly prepared foods, including tamales to bring home or snack on at the food court. Back by popular demand will be food trucks and artisan vendors selling unique and handmade goods. Art and music will also be periodically showcased.

Looking for a fun activity for this Earth's Day - Saturday April 21st? The City of San Clemente and the Watershed Task Force will be co-hosting the 16th annual Earth Day Festival, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at Parque Del Mar in the Pier Bowl near the San Clemente Pier.

Start with a morning beach clean up (8am). Supplies will be provided to all participants who want to walk the beach and collect trash and debris. Then come to the Parque del Mar - just above the Pier, and enjoy a free-to-the-public festival that will feature live music, educational displays, environmental vendors, and artists.
