Dallas Cowboys quarterback Mark Sanchez recently purchased a little Monarch Bay area 4-bedroom, 4.5 bath bungalow for just under $2 million. Built in 1964, Sanchez's fixer upper was last renovated in 2001 and is located in a gated waterfront community - Monarch Bay - near Monarch Beach and Laguna Beach and the Dana Point State Marine Conservation Area.
Sanchez was born and raised in Southern California, and his new home is located less than a half-hour from the high school he attended.
Records show the 4,774-square-foot house was built in 1964 and it was renovated in 2001 and also shows a conflicting build date of 2003, so more likely there was more renovation done to the home.
Homes in this neighborhood routinely sell for $5 million and go up to over $20 million. Check out what it currently for sale in this prestigious neighborhood of Monarch Bay Homes.
The Monarch Bay community is relatively established by Southern California standards, with the bulk of its roughly 215 homes being built in the 1960s. It’s located just off the Pacific Coast Highway, near the Monarch Beach Resort ( previously the St Regis), the Laguna Niguel Ritz-Carlton, and Montage Resort at Laguna Beach.
