Technically this is not Dana Point real estate related news, but seems like Killer Whales also like Dana Point as much as we do.
Rare Orca Whales were spotted this past Tuesday afternoon by the Dana Wharf Whale Watching crews, it was a pod of killer whales in front of Dana Point Harbor. This group of whales reportedly swam from Ranchos Palos Verdes on Sunday down to Dana Point on Tuesday, and are now back near the shores of Ranchos Palos Verdes. Grey Whales are known to swim very close to shore but it is a  rare occurrence for Killer Whales.
In the video below, a pod of 7 transient killer whales attacked and killed a California seal lion. Whale Watchers on board Capt. Dave's Dolphin and Whale Safari were amazed by this rare display. Some passengers were able to witness the event underwater from the vessel's two underwater viewing pods.
Remember, is whale season and the Whale Parade is coming up pretty soon!
