This Earth Day there's many activities for everyone to support and help the understanding of the importance of reducing litter and pollutants ending in our streets, open space, storm drains and beaches. There's many 'beach clean up events'  and here's the information on the most popular ones in South OC.

San  Clemente: 

April 26th: Annual Beach Clean up starts at 8:30am at Parque del Mar (near Pier). There will be music, displays, demonstrations, artists, awards and other activities.For more info visit : www.scwatersheds.com

Dana Point: 

April 5th : 9:00 AM - 2:00 Pm. Earth Day Electronic Waste Day at the Monarch Bay Plaza Parking Lot.
April 12th: 9:00 AM Doheny State Beach Earth Day Restoration Project. Join us to help plant an assortment of native plants, shrubs, and trees around the park. Please bring your favorite shovel and working gloves, if available. Let the gate guard know you are volunteering for the event.
April 19th: 9:00AM Doheny State Beach Mother Earth Beach, Creek and Park Cleanup, We will be cleaning the beach, North Creek and San Juan Creek, and general grounds of Doheny State Beach. Thank you for brining along working gloves.
April 26th : 9:00 AM - 2:00 Pm. Earth Day Electronic Waste Day at the Monarch Bay Plaza Parking Lot.

San Juan Capistrano:

April 5th: 10AM. Earth Day at The Ecology Center. This year the City of San Juan Capistrano is partnering with The Ecology Center for its Earth Day Celebration.  Whether you are brand new to implementing eco-friendly practices, or have been on the eco-path your whole life, we would like to offer you new ways to deepen and share your knowledge, while having a good time.
