Get ready for a weekend of live music on the picturesque coastline of Doheny Beach in Dana Point. Omega Events is bringing back the Doheny Days Music Festival, the same weekend that the city is hosting the Tall Ships Festival: September 8th and 9th of 2012. emergency_preparedness_expo_dana_pointInterested in learning how to protect yourself and your family in case of a major emergency? This event was made to teach our community here in Dana Point about the resources available by the city to help the community.

This is the city's 6th annual instance of the event, where dozens of vehicles and emergency response equipment will be displayed and available for picture taking. Exhibits include the Orange County Sheriff's Department SWAT team and bomb squad, the Orange County Fire Authority, Doctor's Ambulance and the United States Coast Guard.

In relation to that philosophy, the D.L.S.A. will act as a support group for other organizations with similar views and objectives."

As the weekend aproaches,sometimes as parents, we wonder what to do that could be educational and fun.

Well, this coming Saturday the 11th, the annual cleanup event at Doheny Beach is taking place, from 9am to noon. There has been some winter rains and runoff that needs some serious cleanup, and what a better way to show our kids how to take care of our beaches by helping a little.

Bring your gloves and join us to get Doheny back in shape so we can all enjoy it ! Plus, who doesn't want to be at the beach with this beautiful weather? BTW, it's supposed to be in the high sixty's low seventy's, and sunny all day on Saturday!.

All beach cleanups meet at the lifeguard headquarters (adjacent to the mouth of San Juan Creek).
