So it's finally cooling off - but many of us have been running the air conditioning in our homes in Orange County. We wanted to share some tips to save some money after getting that shocking and particularly expensive September utility bill. And given that you might be running your heating system later in the season (another shocking bill), might as well get on the job now!
Here's what you can do!
Number one: check the condition of your roof. A radiant barrier reduces heat transfer between your roof and the attic floor where insulation is typically installed. Some barriers can reflect almost all of the radiant heat energy from the sun, back through the roof, making the attic cooler, and therefore, a cooler home.

So many of us know that the Mission Viejo Lake is a man made lake. Yes. And that it has homes around it. But here's some curious facts about this wonderful place that many get to call home. If you live in Mission Viejo, you are automatically a member of the lake...so, if you have friends who live in the area, this is a wonderful place to visit.  If  you don't have access to the Lake, take a visit to Plaza del Lago. Do some shopping, and enjoy the views while having wonderful foods: there's Japanese, Italian, Mexican and others. You name it. The food tastes better because of the views!
